Turning Failures into Steppingstones to Success
...rising from the ashes, embracing failures, and celebrating wins. 🕺
Hey Fammm!
3MTT Rivers State community members are the best! Yes, I said it!
From those who are constantly helping out in the community to those who are steadily bagging prizes—data, laptops, spotlight, and so much more—to those who look forward to these newsletters and leave the most inspiring feedback, y’all make me feel like a rockstar community manager.
Well, enough with my appreciation before you get too mushy, lol.
Can you believe it? We’re already at the end of July. It feels like yesterday when I sent you one of the first letters and welcomed you to July. What does this tell you? To me, it says: make the most of your time and make each day count!
In our past letters, I’ve talked about procrastination and handling slumps, but I also remember feeling like a failure. Failing at not keeping my word and sending you timely letters. Failing at not delivering a 💯 on certain activities and projects. Failing at not achieving all that I set out to accomplish this month.
But here’s what Thomas Edison (the inventor of the light bulb) has to say about failure:
“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
If you really think about it, failure is feedback; it’s simply showing you what’s not working so you can find out what will work. Our photo for the day literally says, “Every failure is a step to success.”
But keep in mind that every failure does not simply lead to success as a separate outcome but contributes to a broader narrative of growth and self-discovery. Each setback, mistake, or disappointment becomes an integral part of the ongoing process of learning and development.
Hence, success is not the absence of failure but the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm. So, like me, when next you feel down about a failure, think of it as an opportunity to begin again, only this time more wisely.
So let's celebrate some successes, shall we?!
Week 7 Weekly Reflection Winners
Congratulations to all our winners for week 7! I must say that I am constantly impressed by the quality of submissions you all put in. Kudos
Please note that the timeframe for receiving your reward is within 2 weeks from today. This is to give ample time to the rewards team to compile and send out the data.
Sincere apologies to the week 6 winners. As was already announced, there was an error during compilation, and that was why no one received it. Hopefully, it will be sent out with the week 7 reward.
Here is the Week 8 task. I look forward to seeing more quality submissions. However, there’s a twist to this week’s task.
